In Romania, RoAid focuses on raising public awareness about global issues, the values and needs of our partner countries and about Romania's development cooperation programme.
Effective anti-discrimination policies and mechanisms in the Republic of Moldova
project helped identify the best legislative and institutional mechanisms to reduce
discrimination in the Republic of Moldova and strengthen the
anti-discrimination law and institutional framework in the country.
The project will design and test a child protection index in the Republic of Moldova and Georgia and help better advocate for the eradication of child poverty, child protection and accessibility to basic services.
RoAid supports six countries in the wider Black Sea Region: Belarus,
Ukraine, Georgia, Armenia and Azerbaijan, plus the Republic of Moldova. Romania has been financing projects that contribute to alleviating
poverty, as well as improving the capacity of civil society,
fostering sustainable democratic institutions and improving economic development.
Romania supports six countries in the North Africa and Middle East region: Egypt, Libya, Tunisia, Iraq, Palestine and Afghanistan. RoAid’s
largest contribution in the region has been in the fields of education,
transition to democracy, diplomacy and international relations.
RoAid supports projects in the Republic of Moldova, in various fields such as human rights, civil society, gender equality, human security and social
