On the 18th of June, Cezar Marin, Deputy Director General of RoAid and Oana Cristina Gârbea, Project Manager, together with representatives from the Romanian Embassy in Amman, visited the Jordanian Red Crescent, at the invitation of Dr. Mohammad Mutlaq Al-Hadid, president of the organization.
Dr. Al-Hadid expressed his appreciation for the Romanian support and underlined its importance at a time when the region is going through situations that require concerted efforts in the field of humanitarian work.
In this regard, Cezar Marin emphasized the importance of strengthening the cooperation between the two countries, especially the humanitarian role played by the Jordanian Red Crescent in the service of refugees, which represents the main goal of the Romanian partnership with the Red Crescent.
In November last year, H.E. Nicolae Comănescu, the Romanian Ambassador to Amman, opened the Jordanian Red Crescent Strategic Relief Stock Store, which was re-equipped and restored with the support of RoAid.
The guests and the accompanying delegation visited the strategic inventory of relief materials, the Jordan Red Crescent Vocational Training Center and attended professional courses offered to Jordanian and Syrian women.
At the end of the visit, Dr. Hadid presented the shield of the society in appreciation of Romanian’s support and humanitarian effort.
